Andrea Bocelli and Sarah Brightman are a good pair together but I think Andrea Bocelli and Helene Segara and Il Vivo Per Lei is definitely my favourite.

Bocelli is an overrated pop star. You should try Maria Callas or Anna Netrebko

I agree Bocelli is a bit over-rated, but I do love that song. This post was more my love for "time to say goodbye" than for Bocelli as a musician

Oh my god I love that scene. Will ferrel has an amazing voice, I wish that he professionally recorded that song so I could have it on my ipod

One of my favorite movies—Weird to think that it came out almost seven years ago. Ditto on the recording.

Dude, he's blind. Also his voice has such an amazing texture to it.

Pretty much anytime I hear this song I get teary eyed, although the non-duet version is better.

It doesn't really matter that he's blind, and I'm not saying he's a bad singer—he's great. He's just not a top tier operatic singer, but most people don't know many others.

You're right that he isn't a full on operatic singer, he sounds too good to be one.

In a way you're right. The criteria are pretty different for opera.

Haha I was only half joking, I find opera singers all sound pretty terrible objectively, even if what they do is impressive.

To each their own I suppose.
